AFL SportsReady is offering a fulltime traineeship to start a career as a Trainee Development Officer. This position offers the right motivated candidate the following: National Training Wage, indoor and outdoor working environments and completing a nationally recognised qualification with on the job training. The host employer is committed to aggressively drive and grow participation through the delivery of quality programs in the Hunter Region.

Overview of the Role:

Implement AFL programs to gain maximum participation levels at school and community programs to transition participants to Junior club level in the region

Establish strong links in the local teaching network through ambassador program

Study a Certificate III in Sport and Recreation

Key Selection Criteria - mandatory:

Current NSW driver's licence and access to a vehicle

Willing to obtain a minimum Level 1 Australian Football coaching accreditation

Year 12 or equivalent

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Enthusiastic, energetic and self motivated

Key Selection Criteria - desirable:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel

Demonstrated ability to organise and conduct a skill/fun based football clinic for children

AFL knowledge

WE at the mighty Panthers extend our best wishes for Christmas and the New Year. Please have a Merry time and remember to be safe at all times.
Coach Bishop would also like to wish everybody a happy Christmas and would like to remind all senior players that training will recommence on January 23rd.
Preseason training will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Adventist School Erina sarting at 6:00pm until dark. Under 16's are welcome to attend. REMEMBER to bring Joggers and boots as well as your own drink bottle.

SENIOR TRAINING STARTS 21st November

Yes it is time to start training again! Coach Bishop will commence training for all grades on MONDAY 21st NOVEMBER at the Adventist School Erina startind at 6:00 pm. Training will continue on MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS until the Christmas break.
Some players have already been training with many of our younger players in the gym building their body for the up-coming season.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The AGM for the TERRIGAL AVOCA PANTHERS will be held Sunday 23rd October at Breakers Country Club starting at 10:00 am.
It is our intention this year to get as many people involved so as to not make any one job a burden. We already have a few more volunteers but would enjoy the comfort and company of many more.
If you would like to play a part in the running and general welfare of our club please come and join us or let one of our existing committee know what role you would be prepared to help with.
